Vaccinations Sri Lanka

Planning a trip to Sri Lanka soon? Preparing well can help make your holiday enjoyable and safe. It is important to note that visiting Sri Lanka carries certain health risks, so vaccinations are recommended and may even be mandatory. The vaccinations you will need depend on factors such as the regions you will be visiting and the length of your stay. Simply make an appointment with us to get personalised travel advice.

Sri Lanka is an island located in the Indian Ocean, off the coast of India. The island has a variety of tropical climates, influenced by its mountains, among other factors. In the mountains of the southern central region, temperatures are cooler, and there can even be light frost during the winter months. Many tea plantations are situated on the terraces of these mountains. The northern and eastern parts of the island are a mix of flat plains and mountain peaks. Sri Lanka has two monsoon seasons: Yala and Maha. The Yala monsoon takes place in the southwest from May to July, while the Maha monsoon affects the northeast from November to January.
