Mali, officially known as the Republic of Mali, is a country located in Africa. Mali is completely cut off from the sea. It shares borders with Mauritania, Algeria, Niger, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea, and Senegal. The northern region of Mali experiences a desert climate, with little to no rainfall throughout the year. The north and north-east of the country lies in the Sahara Desert. The rainy season in the south is from May to October.
