The Democratic Republic of East Timor is a country located in Southeast Asia. It is made up of the eastern half of the island of Timor, along with the islands of Atauro and Jaco, and Oecusse, a political exclave of East Timor situated on the western side of the island, surrounded by West Timor. West Timor is part of Indonesia. East Timor has a tropical climate with high temperatures ranging from 20 to 34 degrees Celsius year-round. Rainfall mainly occurs from December to March, with heavy downpours possible during this period.
