The Republic of the Congo, also known as Congo-Brazzaville, is a country in Central Africa that shares borders with Cameroon, Gabon, the Central African Republic, Congo-Kinshasa, and Cabinda (an exclave and province of Angola). The country is located close to the equator, resulting in a significantly consistent climate throughout the year with an average temperature of 24 degrees Celsius. There are three climatic zones in the country: tropical savanna climate in the extreme north and south, and a combination of tropical rainforest climate and monsoon climate in the central region. Rainfall is twice as high in the central part of the country, with the least rainfall occurring between June and September.
