Guatemala, officially known as the Republic of Guatemala, is a country in Central America. It shares borders with Mexico, Belize, Honduras, and El Salvador. Guatemala has a very diverse landscape, featuring high plateaus, mountain peaks, and volcanoes that rise above 4,000 meters. There are plains that are mainly used for agriculture, and it is also home to the famous Mayan ruins of Tikal. The capital city is Guatemala City, which is located in the department of Guatemala. The country has a tropical climate with temperatures ranging from 15 to 30 degrees Celsius. It is warm and humid year-round, with rainfall occurring at any time during the year.
