The Canary Islands are part of Spain and are located to the west of Morocco. The most famous islands in the archipelago are Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Tenerife, Fuerteventura, and La Palma. The islands have a subtropical climate, with only small changes throughout the year. Pleasant, summery temperatures are common all year round. The eastern islands are a bit drier, while the western ones are somewhat more humid.
