Are you at risk of exposure to viruses, contact with blood or other bodily fluids during your work?

During the Bloodborne pathogens training, you'll learn how to protect yourself against viruses transmitted through blood or other bodily fluids. Over four hours, you'll practice extensively with personal protective equipment (PPE) and receive theory lessons to ensure you're well-prepared for the job.

Aim and result

The Bloodborne Pathogens training is designed for employees who may come into contact with viruses or bodily fluids, such as members of an air crash investigation team, medical staff, ambulance personnel, firefighters, police, security personnel, and dentists.

You will learn how to protect yourself against infection from these viruses. The available resources will be discussed, and you will practice using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). After completing the training, you will receive a Bloodborne Pathogens certificate and the required BBP pass.

The training is in accordance with the guidelines of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

Refresher Training

You will attend refresher training annually to keep your knowledge and skills up-to-date and maintain the validity of your certificate.

The training lasts one half-day and includes:
  • Theory on Bloodborne Pathogens
  • Practical Exercise in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
