An AED is the most effective means of increasing the chance of survival, but is there one available? Did you know that immediate application of CPR, while someone else fetches an AED, doubles a casualty’s chance of survival?How can you recognise cardiac arrest? What should you do first? What if no AED equipment is available? How long should you apply CPR? This programme teaches you what to do while waiting for the ambulance.

What does it involve?
This programme offers a good mix of theory and practice, ensuring that you have the required knowledge and skill by the end of training. This is a half-day (four-hour) programme.
