Dubai vaccinations: which ones do you need?

If you travel to Dubai, it is important to properly prepare. Certain vaccinations are recommended for Dubai, although these are not mandatory. On this page we offer you travel advice and some further reading on health risks that apply for Dubai.

Dubai is situated in the United Arab Emirates and is the capital of the Emirate of Dubai. The city’s desert climate is dry and hot. With an average temperature of 27.5 degrees Celsius Dubai is one of the warmest cities in the world, as is Abu Dhabi, which is situated further south. Due to the high humidity, the felt air temperature can be quite bit higher, which feels humid and stuffy. In summer, temperatures can rise to 50 degrees Celsius in the shade. This may be tad bit too hot to handle. Therefore, the best travel time for Dubai is between November and April. There is no nationwide advisory in effect for Dubai. However, you should exercise a degree of caution. In Dubai, everything is big, large, tall and prestigious. The city has the world’s highest skyscraper, the largest aquarium, the most spacious shopping centre and the largest indoor ski centre that is situated in the desert. Moreover, near the coast of Dubai, you’ll find the Palm Islands – the largest artificial islands in the world. Whatever your plan, you should protect yourself well against the fierce sun and drink plenty of water. Our skilled nurses gladly provide advice regarding a healthy stay in Dubai and are happy to tell you which immunisations and vaccinations you require.
